For some reason, over the past two days I've gotten error messages when I try to go to any of the links.

In any case, it sounds like fun! I know that medieval combat seemed different to me after I saw it in an SCA event.

And the first time I performed 17th Century theatre, we tried to do it as authentically as reasonable. (Of course we didn't have recordings of the originals, but we tried to be authentic.)

Re-enactment has its own hobgoblins, but yeah. Once you've seen real people try to put real tactics into real use, Hollywood Tactics get more painful to watch.

(And I say that as a SCAdian and once-upon-a-time rendezvous participant, though not a combatant.)
