January 7, 2025: Become Part Of My Feature Of Habit!

I never have gotten used to the idea of paying to see movies.

As a kid, my parents generally paid.

Shortly after I started college, I got a 2-3 hours a week position. I put up movie posters and flyers on campus for the "movie of the week." For that I not only got paid, I got two free movie tickets.

At a later college, I didn't get paid to write film reviews for the college newspaper. But I did get free admission for me and a friend to the local movie theater. One of the best things about that was I got to choose which movies to review--meaning I only reviewed films I wanted to see!

Then later, writing for a professional newspaper, I wrote articles about and did a column on local events. Which meant I got free admission to movies and a whole lot of things.

So now the idea of having to pay to watch a movie? You gotta be kidding!
