Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
I thought the plan was always to get in there and re-arrange the stones, restoring the Emporer to his proper settings, and then we're done... Maximus takes charge and they can then investigate their internal corruption on their own once their proper overseer is back in charge.
There is no way to check every potential tech to make sure no one has their own copy of the plans. Changing the archive isn't going to eliminate any personal materials in circulation. And if they have to rebuild it, they will call the guy who really knows his stuff, and he may recognize the differences and remember the "right" way from his working on it for the last decade. Maybe I have it wrong, but it seems to leave them to rebuild it seems very risky, and if getting in once is hard, getting in a second time is going to be nigh impossible. All it will take is one catastrophic mistake poking around for additional research to reveal our hand. "Oh, they are looking at the Emporer's parameters and the conspiracy? Wake some more immortals, destroy the evidence, and triple the guard at the wall!" Quote:

Well, getting a bit more meta than I like, I think it's basically setup to force us to get behind the second wall either way we cut it. We either trash the wall and change all the plans, or we rebuild the wall ourselves.

As I said, I'm not sure that changing all the plans is possible, and even if it is, it would not eliminate the experts from potentially knowing how it goes back without the plans. I'm trying to let Haly do her thing, but this activity seems to carry a very high and ongoing risk of exposure for gains that are dubious at best. Continuing to impersonate our prisoner is especially dangerous. Without a Mimicry advantage or skill, Halycone is rolling against Acting-9 to imitate his voice. |

I haven't been requiring mimicry rolls for Cyraelian.

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
The duo goes over the tunnel route on either end again and verifies their path.
Vassarious checks in with Holo-Maximus using the pen from the "booth" and sees how they are coming with coordinating their actions and will see if, given the time passage, it seems relatively safe to use the Kunnifax identity or if they are better served using Retifurus or to lure out another immortal to take out and impersonate. |

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Kunnifax points out that you need a badge to use the tunnel, but that either face should work.
"I sure hope that if showed up again the guard wouldn't hold me out. Either my face or Retifurus should satisfy the guard. And if my face isn't enough, demonstration of immortal strength should do it. The danger is the badge. You need one to get through. Matching the badge with the face is probably the best idea." "I don't suggest taking another badge from an immortal. Maximus would see that." Holomaximus says he can coordinate the attacks when they need them, but that he needs at least a day's warning. He suggests the best time of day to attack is at 10 AM in the capital.

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Well I guess we better rest up for tomorrow and decide who's going to be Kunnifax and who's going to be the prisoner. And who the prisoner's going to be (Halcyone, some form of V, etc.). And what to do if the guard at either end decides to bring us to Maximus.

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
We will check in with Holo-Maximus to determine if we can pull the trigger the next day or if it has to be the following.
I'd also like to check in with the home base and see if we can schedule a bunch of incursions for the same time. Just transporting some individuals to this skerry and back again during the strike to provide additional draws for Maximus' attention. Vassarious is fine with being the prisoner or the immortal, Halycone can pick. If the guards give us trouble, we may have to try and take them out fast and prevent us from being reported. If we have to fight our way in, hopefully, they come in a trickle! |
