Can we get a more detailed description of the handle? What is strange about it?

Its large and bulky with several moving pieces and you can sort of see the mechanics behind it.

Well, given the door is unlocked right now, I look for something to jam the lock open.

Halcyone jams the door open with a rock... a strangely convenient one.

The room is a round domed Cavern 10 yards across and 7 yards at its highest point. A small pit of spikes 3 yards deep and 3 yards across is at its center, with rough sides easy to enter. Bones are strewn among the spikes.

A teenage girl is sitting in the room, fiddling with a lock and a set of picks. She doesn't acknowledge your presence


the round chamber has four heavy wooden doors at the compass points with large clunky locks that can be picked at +5.

Well, that doesn't mean I won't. "Hey, need some help with that?"

There is some sort of undead a few dozen yards due north, and some sort of elder thing beyond that. And beyond that are two demons. South and east is some other sort of undead.

Girl: "Only up that way!" She gestures north. "I'm here so you don't go off and trigger anything. You're supposed to go that way" She gestures east. "Oh, and I keep keys if you need em. Don't leave the path, the old remnants of the tests are still around from when the masters were dead. Unless you want to get stabbed by demons."

"It is as she describes. I sense some other from of the dead walking to the south and the east. I will keep an eye on any movements."
