Pericles ignores him for a few moments, but realizes greater speed is not an option given the wagons up ahead.

Seeing the wagon slow up, Jeb persuades his stubborn charges to put a little more speed on. Getting closer, he eyes up the pair and their wagons, and then deciding they look all right says, "Howdy! I'm Jeb, and this is Henry. I haven't named the other two, yet."
