Machines and Fatigue - Need clarification
Under the rules for machine meta-trait it says you cannot spend fatigue for pretty much any reason. If you have that template you don't even have a fatigue stat. I understand that part.
Somewhere else I saw a rule that says if a machine has to spend fatigue it instead takes a reduction in HT. Hypothetical situation: A golem (technically a machine under those rules) wants to use the Healing advantage to repair damage to itself or another machine. Healing requires spending fatigue. Assuming it is even legal for the golem to have Healing in the first place, how does this work? Does it spend HT? Does it recover this HT over time or does it require repairs now? I am confused. |

Re: Machines and Fatigue - Need clarification
The golem would likely have to buy an Energy Reserve in order to use the Healing advantage. Either that, or it loses HT at the same rate a mortal being would spend FP, and will consequently require major repairs far too often to NOT give it a powerstone or three to Heal with.

Re: Machines and Fatigue - Need clarification
You need to do one or more of the following:
Buy and use energy reserve. Buy reduced FP cost enchantment to healing. Use an external source of the energy like power stones. Use some other advantage like regeneration instead. |

IMHO this should be understood as "you can't spend FP, but if rules are saying you LOST fatigue points, you're losing HT instead".

No. They can't Spend FP in exchange for being immune to Losing FP. You're offering to make it a huge drawback with no upside for [0].
