and MA just talks about reflecting them away(with precognative parry).

Looks like you're right. Personally, I'd use that rule only against melee and thrown weapons, which should have a good deal more trouble overpenetrating than a missile weapon. Although it goes against RAW damage to shields, I'd use that rule only for melee/thrown weapons and use the "DR only" rule against missile weapons. Of course, shields probably need their DR and HP adjusted to be correct anyway. For example, using the general rule of (cube root weight)x8 for homogenous objects, that large shield should only have around 23 HP, while a 2-inch thick shield would only have DR 2*. To get the DR and HP of a large shield made from wood, you'd have to be carrying around a 9-inch thick piece of wood that weighs somewhere around 422 pounds. Now, using some iron in the construction would help the DR and maybe give a little HP boost, but nothing in this area. Here's looking to Low-Tech!

Well, if you're playing GURPS Star Wars, then you know a Jedi is capable of deflecting blaster bolts back to the shooter . . . or anyone else they choose. I'd make that a seperate skill "Deflect Blaster Bolt" that they have to roll against to see if they can hit their target. Sure, they get their Force Talent bonus to the roll.

It's just that the RAW don't cover reflecting an attack without DR+Reflection.

Well, there are no lightsabers in Ultratech. There are force swords, but they lack the little Lucasarts ™ after it and a few world-specific features.

Off the top of my head, I'd call it the force-sword equivalent of catching an arrow, combined with a Rapid Strike to bounce it back, trick only available to Jedi (ie Trained by a Master) characters.
