If I read this report in my marketing management classes, my analysis would recommend looking into developing a bunch of new games to take over from Munchkin once its Cash Cow status begins to fade.

But given that SJGames is just about the oldest surviving hobby game company I'm guessing Steve & Co. are already on that.

Was there an Illuminator? What day was it? I must've missed it.

Not yet. I found out about it on the Twitter page.

Good for success.

I'm a bit sad that GURPS wasn't listed specifically as a priority.

But I support SJGames...they know what they are doing, and I'm sure we'll get more GURPS.

I've also always been very supportive of SJG doing what they have to do to deal with the realities of the changing game industry. That said I would have at least like to see some lip service to continued support for GURPS, even if it was just a statement that they intend to release PDF versions of previously announced titles such as Low Tech and Horror. I do find it worrisome that we didn't even get a statement of continued support for PDF publishing of GURPS supplements as a low priority.

I don't see any evidence that there has been any real change in the status of GURPS or in their intentions to support the line. I'm not particularly worried, perhaps just sad to see another sign that the pen-and-paper RPG hobby as a whole is becoming increasingly marginal.

That's probably why nobody got to it before RPK, then.

Am I the only one following the Twitter feed aggressively? If so, y'all are missing out on some neat spoilers and leaks . . .

I wouldn't read too much into that. It's just a given that GURPS is going to be supported with dozens of PDFs and a physical book or two each year. It's a pretty well-oiled machine (relatively speaking) so there's no real need for SJ to sit and stare at it a lot -- not when he could be making new games and promoting the old ones. :)

That's how I knew about it.

I know that I've got a couple in the pipeline, and several other authors are in the same state. Don't cry for me, GURPS fans.

I already waste enough time online I really don't need to start "Tweeting".

While GURPS isn't a specific priority, e23 continues to be listed in the "High Points" section, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Also, Low-Tech and Horror are still scheduled to be released as hardcovers as well as PDF.
