Default how does the boomdagger work?

if i am a thief with the boomdagger and it gets stolen from me by another thief I would get the dagger back on my next turn. But isn't the other thief an owner now too? If they sold it to gain a level, they would get the dagger back on their turn, right?

Does this mean that the boomdagger gets bounced around the table to anybody that was an owner at the beginning of each of their turns?

Or is the owner the person that plays the card to the table?

I am under the impression that as long as the item is equipped the ability would trigger no matter who has it.

Default Re: how does the boomdagger work?

will boomdagger come back if used to power an ability, like a free backstab or steal attempt?

what about the part that says is only permanently lost to death or bad stuff?
does the trading or giving it away negate that?

this card is confusing and causing arguments during gameplay

does anybody have a take?
