Here's a white room situation for your consideration: After having experienced a sadly premature death, a character is back alive (though somewhat diminished in their abilities) thanks to the efforts their friends and/or family went through in obtaining a Revival spell for them. Can the character now be instantly killed by a simple Remove Thrown Spell?

No. Revival is a Thrown spell, but it's not a spell with an ongoing effect. It revives the subject, who then lives without the help of the spell.
(Of course, if the GM wants Revival to have this weakness, they could design it otherwise for their house rules, but as written, no.) |

Do all continuing Special spells require Dissolve Enchantment to remove?
Does this also apply to Word Of Command - Believe? Also Geas vs Believe WRT Ward or Detect Enemies?

Yes, unless your GM invents an exception, Remove Thrown Spell has no effect on Word of Command, but Dissolve Enchantment would be overkill, since they wear off after at most 12 turns. You might try Aid IQ instead. What about them? Ward and Detect Enemies are not based on whether the caster believes someone is hostile or not. WoC Believe only affects the listener's belief. Geas would depend on what the geas is |

If desired as a house rule, many spells could be ruled reversible/removable by a second casting of the same spell on the same subject. Lock/Knock could be considered the precedent. So for example a Sleep spell already on a subject might be removed by another wizard that knows Sleep casting it on the same subject. Of course Remove or Dissolve are still much more useful, as the caster doesn't need to know the specific spell they are seeking to end. There's a certain poetic justice though to a wizard being able to cast the counter-spell to reverse or undo a spell they have already mastered.
