Default Flight, Enhanced Move, and Alternate Ability

Quick Question: If Flight is an Alternate Ability (let's say for TK), would/can/should Enhanced Move (Air) also be an Alternate Ability?

AA means that you can only use one of the advantages at a time and have to switch with a Ready maneuver, but I could easily see Enhanced Move (Air) as essentially a modifier for the Flight advantage. At least I usually think of it that way. (EM for ground and water are different, since they don't require a separate advantage to be of any use.)

Telekinesis [A]
Flight [B]
Enhanced Move [C]

If A >= B + C then yes Flight and enhanced move can be built as an Alternate Ability of Telekinesis.

If B + C >= then Telekinesis can be built as an Alternate Ability of Flight and Enhanced Move.

In general, you can build a single "ability" out of several "advantages" that work together and have the same power or source modifier. There are lots of advantages in published GURPS supplements, including various of PK's and mine. And if it's a single ability you can take it as an AA. The important thing is that you can't use the package if you're using the other ability.

What Bill said. The rule is called "Alternative Abilities" rather than "Alternative Advantages" for a reason; in GURPS, an "ability" is either a single advantage or a set of linked or otherwise connected advantages that are used together (and that share the same PM, if part of a power). "Flight plus Enhanced Move" definitely fits that definition.
