Marvel Munchkin kingpin lowest level.

So when you kick open the door and get kingpin he states he won't fight the lowest level player. Could you play go up a levels to make yourself not the lowest level so you could engage in the combat with him? Or does he not go into combat with the lowest level player because of the text on the card?

Reading this topic to the end, Andrew agrees that any player could play a GUAL in this situation.

This doesn't answer the question to me.

If you get into combat with a monster that ignores you for whatever reason (being lowest level in this case), does the combat just end immediately or do you have time to play something to change this? I think this is what is actually being asked.

Also, I was under the impression you can choose to fight a monster that would normally ignore you. Just if you lose, you don't have to worry about the bad stuff.
