Reverse Leech
I am building a mutant that can heal people by leeching her own hp to the victim. The effect is she transfers the wounds the victim has taken to her body and regenerates to heal herself. This will also work with diseases and poisons too.
I am thinking the basic mechanic is a Reverse of the Leech power. |

Re: Reverse Leech
I think the proper mechanic is to use Healing with the Empathic modifier (Powers pg 51). "When you heal others, you take on the injuries, diseases, and Afflictions you remove instead of paying FP."

Re: Reverse Leech
Yea I looked at that...that might be the way I go however healing doesn't restore lost limbs and such.
The effect I'm going for is the mutant essentially transfers the damage to herself. Thus if the victim has lost a limb she would lose hers while the victims limb regrows. |

Re: Reverse Leech
It can restore Crippled.
For actually lost limbs you want an affliction with Regrowth with a nice duration. Buy it as an alternate ability to your Healing to save points and then use the Afflcition adn then your Heal power to get the limb to regrow quickly.

Re: Reverse Leech
Hmm, Affliction with regrowth...how would that account for the mutant losing her limb, or do I chalk it up to special effect.

Re: Reverse Leech
That could be a Backlash, assuming it's temporary (such as if she has Regrowth). If it's a permanent loss, you could attach the Costs CP modifier to the Affliction, cutting its cost to 1/5 after all other modifiers are tallied. And that stacks with the Alternative Advantage discount. Which is only fair; it's not a power she can use lightly. It literally costs an arm and a leg. =P

Re: Reverse Leech
To quote GURPS Powers
"It’s possible to use Affliction (p. 39) with the Advantage enhancement to give someone else Regrowth – but this is too slow to be useful unless the subject also gains (or already has) Regeneration." |
