I might go with some sort of Odious Personal Habit.

Selfish. Read it carefully. It's about having the last word and responding poorly to slights

Oh, just noticed. Ten years in the military. Qualified for both SEALs and Delta. Deployed six times. As far as I can see* the very basic and minimum training to qualify for those is around 6 months each. Add at least the same time for advanced skill training so you'd be allowed into the field. That's 2 years of training. So over the next 8 years the character managed to deploy 6 times and fit in time for additional and required training?

I was thinking about this as well. What I think is a more realistic background is that she was originally attached to US Army Special Forces fairly early on as a member of a Cultural Support Team. At that point she could have been tapped by the ISA(Intelligence Support Activity) instead of Delta Force. While they are more spies than soldiers, they are similarly elite, and women have been serving with it for decades.

The first woman in regular US Army Special Forces actually graduated from the Q-course in 2020, but there aren't any in the SEALs.

Re-reading the character write-up, I noticed she is completely Talentless. That won't do at all. She should definitely have people admiring how deft she is at all the stuff she does! I suggest Talent: Commando at level 2.

Also, is Wealthy really enough?

Finally, I don't like that her hair is messy. Will higher command take her seriously if she doesn't keep herself looking tidy? The military is still very much male dominated and women still have to work that much harder to be respected. She should strive for a more buttoned-down look.

Being a soldier - even a top-class, elite soldier - doesn't pay extraordinarily well, from what I understand. Same with being in law enforcement (FBI/CIA in her case). She may also have simply made poor investments (or otherwise blew her money), even if those jobs should have been enough to make her Very Wealthy or higher.

It sounds like might be in violation of military regulations, yeah. Then again, I think she could just fix her hair up into a bun/braid/whatever is allowed now when required to report for duty (which wouldn't be often, being a reservist), and otherwise keep it largely how she prefers. Unless the FBI has regulations that would be in violation of, at least.

I think what you may want to do here is reduce the amount of various skills, techniques, and perks she has just because you're the one whose gonna have to keep track of this stuff. Personally, I would not want to keep track of over a hundred different skills.

I agree. I generally love the high level of detail that GURPS provides, but this character feels like she's overflowing with minutiae. Characters at this point level with massive lists of skills seem like ideal candidates for wildcard skills (B175 or GURPS Power-Ups 7).

... is it just me, or is this thread pretty much devoid of any discussion of the "new long-term campaign," or any ideas thereof, and entirely focusing on critiquing a single proposed GNPC?

Kinda diving down a rabbit hole here. Me, in the OP's shoes, I'd be putting that design energy into stuff about which the players will actually care. What the GI Mary Sue has for a Guns (LAW) skill vs her Guns (Light Machine Gun) skill isn't likely to be one.

It's not just you, but there is not much else besides the huge block of text regarding this NPC.

Point totals for the PCs, any particular rule or hourserule, available factions, a lot of stuff is totally unknown, so it's kinda hard to help.
