Default Warp preparation time

My question is simple:if I prepare for x turns do I teleport on the x-th turn or in the (x+1)th turn?
If the answer is the first no time for preparation means that I teleport as a free action?
And if so can I use this ability to dodge?

This will be covered much more fully in Powers, but most traits like Warp take a turn to activate. To use traits like Warp instantly (EDIT: And I should add, instantly without penalty, in the case of Warp) you need to apply a Enhancement to the trait.

warp let's you teleport with no prep time (-10 to your roll), and this is a specifically allowed as a dodge.

other than that, if you prepeed for, say, 8 seconds to lower the penalty to -2, and teleported on the 9th second, I'd say that is your 9th second action, at least, that's how I've been running it.

if the teleport took place at the end of the 8th second of prep (or in the 9th second as a free action) you could I suppose, prep and use the prepped teleport as a dodge, I guess.

it is a bit of a gray area. A 1 second spell takes place in the 1 second. so an 8 second spell would take 7 seconds of concentratoin, then go off in the 8th second.

On the xth turn.

In effect, yes. Abilities used "instantly" let you take an actual combat maneuver on the same turn.

That's specifically allowed once per turn.
