The writeup of American Woman illustrates a point I've always disliked in V&V: It gives inventing points to every character, regardless of Intelligence. It just doesn't seem right to suppose that a character with Intelligence 9 can invent much of anything, let alone inventing a device that alters the effects of gravity, which seems to call for a radical breakthrough in physics.
In her case it does make sense to let go of Willpower, but I tend to like Willpower A as a trait, not for its obvious effects, but because, if you look at the combat table, you see that it substantially reduces the chance of being hit in hand to hand combat—which includes gunshots! The base chance drops from 5 to 0; weapons bonuses to hit will raise that slightly, but there's a good deal of protective effect.
