Default Are OGRES too large for bridges?

What is the size limit for crossing over a bridge?
Smaller OGREs are size 4-6 and larger ones go from size 7 to size 9!
Is there a cut off to what size unit can cross over a bridge like the one on S3 hex 0716?

A quick perusal of the GEV pocket box indicates that Ogres can use every bridge on the G-1 map, unless specified otherwise by a scenario. The Battlefields rulebook concurs. Bridges on the GEV maps can support Ogres. Indeed, there is a special rule for what happens to an Ogre if it's on a full-hex bridge when the bridge is destroyed.

Unit size ratings, and bridges having limits based on that, seems really to be an Ogre Minis thing.

Thank you for the polite response.
I was watching a WW2 film and saw that many bridges were off limits to the German Tiger tank and it got me thinking - did bridge designers think about OGREs when they built the bridge?

I see Interstate bridge regs are max 20,000 pounds per axle and 80,000 pounds gross weight. Guess treads more evenly spread the weight?

I forget how much a Mark 3 OGRE weighs. I think it's in the hundreds of thousands of pounds. I have to imagine they would fold any bridge in half like two playing cards.
But I digress ... BPC - am I right?

Ogres aren't too large for bridges - bridges are too small for Ogres! /rorschach

Short answer; there is no size limit. All bridges (both stream and river) on the G and S maps support all sizes of units.

Long answer; the rules for bridges in Ogre Miniatures actually take size into account, the hexmap game does not.

With how important cybertanks were during the Last War, I wouldn't be surprised if most bridges were reinforced to handle the massive machines. On top of that, with the amount of destruction the weapons everybody was using caused, there was probably ample oppritunity to install better bridges through high traffic areas.

I also like to imagine a Vulcan who really enjoys designing and building bridges.

If it won't support an ogre, they don't bother to put it on the map. :)
