Re: Art for games
I finally got permission for a player of mine to post her art. Drawing's been a hobby of hers for year, and I push her to show off more of what she can do, but she's shy.
She does everything in pencil, and then colors in marker. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2632/...4cbd0042_o.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2599/...29fecc17_o.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2624/...e0febe40_o.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2484/...702016af_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3529/...972361cc_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3471/...47d4d490_o.jpg |

Re: Art for games
It's a very nice, very cute, anime style. She's very good.

Re: Art for games
Let her know from me her work is nice and does the job. Especially liked the tiny wingless dragon; very neat idea, and much like old illustrations of things like the Lambton Wyrm.

She has nothing to be shy about when it comes to her drawings.

Re: Art for games
I used to draw characters, but I've graduated to photo manipulation over the last few years. Here's an example.

I agree. Nice drawings and colouring.

Re: Art for games
Unfortunately, I'm not much of an artist at all. The links below lead to a few of my favorite works of art from various books, games, and etc.

What program do you use? |

Actually right now, we have a large flat-screen TV/computer monitor where we play, and I'm doing a lot of quickie photo-manipulations as illustrations for the game, via PowerPoint—scenes, settings, characters, races, etc. I pull images off the web for these purposes, or take screenshots from DVDs or games I have available. (I'm loving Lord of the Rings Online right now, for those purposes—lots of good screen shots on the web.)
