The vehicle tunnels do lead to a monorail station eventually, yes. But if there’s an ambush or blockade set up, it’s in there. Too big not to be a target. The next parking block is probably in the next area over, so 20 to 50 yards of travel. Another block of slum appartments won’t be too hard to find, but the possible danger can only get more probable. Important as in infrastructure. Stuff needed to keep people in the arcology alive. The tunnel is long, dirty, sometimes stopped up with debris (including abandoned cars stripped of all useful parts) or deliberate barricades (an improvised stockade of piled-up junk)…There are stairwells and elevators, and some of them look accessible (not locked down with barricades). The tunnels look to be enemy territory, although the drone never spots another human being. The drone does not make it to another parking lot, as that would require navigating past a big barricade that is tall enough to touch the ceiling. Bad sign.

What about down the other two tunnels?

Re: Anarchy in Atlantis (IC)
Similar to the one described, but one has far less barricades blocking the way…because they’ve been wrecked and knocked down by what seems to be a wave of raw naked force. A mob of people (armed with sledgehammers and bulldozers, or something.) could’ve done it.
The more intact one looks to be much more untouched, some surfaces are gathering dust. Maybe nobody has entered the area in months?

Re: Anarchy in Atlantis (IC)
How long ago did the station fall into disrepair?
That means I can get to the parking lots through those tunnels then? with accompanying stairwells? Voice calls to Casabella and Jack. "Do you know where these stairs leading down from the parking lot go?" "Do you know what's behind this grate up the stairs?" "Do you know what's immediately above us?"

Other areas were not so lucky, especially in the slums. Poorer areas started falling apart ahead of the rest of the arcology - you remember reports of disasters striking the lower class work areas 3 months before The Ruin. The parking lots and stairs could be reached via the tunnels, but the journey might just kill you.

Re: Anarchy in Atlantis (IC)
oh, I mean did the drone reach the new parking lots. You said they were only 20 yards to 50 yards down. I want to fly the drone to the next parking lot on each of the two tunnels not blocked by barriers

"There's a factory and a warehouse off those stairs, and a cop shop. I don't remember what they made there, but there'll he plenty of space if we can get in. It doesn't look lik anyone else has claimed it."

The drone makes the trip through the first tunnel (the one that looked like a riot happened) and finds the parking lot at the end is a grim sight. Obviously, a massacre happened there; huge amounts of blood on plenty of surfaces, decent amount of property damage (several cars have been smashed up), about 14 dead bodies strewn about, lots of bullet casings on the ground, no signs of life. Doors and elevators in that parking lot look to be secured (locked, metal barricade) and disabled (no power), respectively, not to mention their faces splattered with blood. The second tunnel and parking lot is much less gruesome, but still eerie. It’s all deserted. Empty. No vehicles in the lot. All the doors and elevators look to be locked down, left to gather dust.

GM, what is the likeli-hood that it's still manned? is there a polite way to check, like knocking on the door or calling their phone number? *Yes, some of that question is an OC question about how law enforcement worked back when it worked.
