[IC] Lost in Dreams (Dr. Alan Parker)

Rolf: "We wait for the embassy to get back to verify your identity."

Its not too much longer that they get the call.

Rolf <on the phone>: "Really? He seemed sincere. Right Right."

"Bad news friend?" asks Parker, realizing that if he what Rolf say's is true he will need to get creative.

[ericthered]

Rolf seems to realize that Dr. Parker can hear him.

"What was the name of the university again? Yeah, They've never heard of it. Doesn't exist. <back to phone> Do you have anything else you want me to ask him? He claims memory loss. Yeah. Doesn't remember the war. I don't know. How would I tell? No, he has no idea. He could be. Thank you. "

He hangs up.

"The haven't a clue who you are, Mr. Parker. I'm going to have to detain you."

"Very well, but I must tell you that I speak the truth about my identity." responds Parker, contemplating his next move.

OOC: sorry I haven't been able to post in a few days I've been busy at work and getting ready for school.

Rolf: "It honestly doesn't matter what you or I believe. Thank you for cooperating."

Rolf pauses for a moment "You don't know anyone in this country, do you? It will be far easier if you can feed yourself while you're here."

"No I'm afraid I don't, To tell the truth I'm more lost than you would believe. I'm an academic so I'd be surprised if I have work-related skills valued in the Austrian countryside" responds Parker.

Rolf seems to think for a while.

"Well, that complicates things. I suppose the best way to handle this is just to ship you strait to the embassy. If they don't want you, the folks in Vienna will hold you."

"That's fine with me. I suspect they'll find my claim of nationality a little more convincing when they meet me in person. Plus I get to see a little more of your beautiful country" replies Parker.

Rolf goes ahead and feeds Dr. Parker out of the 'jail fund'. The prison is apparently mostly used for drunks, but they do have a small fund for such things. Not anything They'd like to spend long term though.

Rolf suggests that Dr. Parker gets some sleep. Tomorrow they'll be taking a train to Vienna.

The trip to the station is uneventful, and yet more evidence that he's indeed in austria during the great war. They get a good deal of attention. Rolf transfers Dr. Parker into different hands, and waves farewell.

Rolf was transfered into a rail car full of soldiers. German soldiers. The men were packed in fairly tight. They eyed the newcomer, but were told he seemed to be an american. Still everyone looked at him for most of the trip.

On their second stop the doors were thrown open, and three men in dark black hooded robes with deep shadows peered in.

"Its him!" One of the points towards Dr. Parker.
