Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Gabriel]
Gabriel will draw one of the knives and try to finish off the rat by slitting its throat.

it's rather Dangerous to get that close to the head: that part at least is still alive and functional. are you sure?

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Gabriel]
Gabriel will pause for a moment to consider. He is much larger than the creature, and it appears to be wounded. He should be able to finish it off with little danger to himself.
It seems clear that the metal from the fence has a pronounced impact on the creature. Are there any other pieces of fence laying about? Gabriel draws one of his knives. Does the knife appear to be made of the same type of metal as the fence? |

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Gabriel]
OCC: dangerous in this case means the rat will be able to bite his hand if he approaches from the front. If he's grasping it from the back, thats another matter and should be specified. If he doesn't mind a few more bites, no, it isn't dangerous.
The knives seem to be iron, like the fence, but its certainly not the exact same alloy. Other pieces of fence are around, but quite a ways off.

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Gabriel]
Gabriel would prefer to place another section of fence on the rat's head, believing that would finish the creature off, however, he's reluctant to leave the creature long enough to retrieve the fence, fearing that it might free itself from its predicament if he left it alone that long.
Consequently, Gabriel will lay on top of the fence from behind the creature (adding extra weight on top of the rat) and carefully press down on the thing's spine, further immobilizing it. He will then stab the creature multiple times with his knife (he can afford a telegraphed attack, since the thing likely cannot dodge while under the fence). He will keep stabbing until the rat stops moving (unless he is somehow injured first) |

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Gabriel]
Gabriel shoves the fence farther into the giant rat, increasing the smoke and green sparks. The rat tries to turn an bit him, but can only move its head. The knife sinks into its flesh, and more sparks and smokes fly up with every hit. one one of the stabs Gabriel hits something important, and a massive flash of sparks mostly blinds him, and the creature shrieks again as it blows itself apart. smoking bits of it are scattered about, but there is remarkably little gore. Its more like he destroyed a costume than a creature. Those remains are still smoking, and seem to be growing smaller. The entire area is covered in smoke, but nothing is burning

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Gabriel]
Very bizarre, but Gabriel will (as usual) assume that this is due to the fact that he is having a vision inside his own head.
Gabriel will look around to see if there is a broken piece of fence that is small enough that he could effectively use it as a weapon (if so, he will take it). Gabriel will examine his foot and attempt first if he deems it necessary. He will go about what he was doing before the rat appeared: retrieve the boiled water, wait for it to cool, moisten the girl's bandage, and both of them will drink some of the water. |

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Gabriel]
Gabriel finds an piece of the fence he thinks will work: a shorter iron piece with the remnant of a joint on one end.
His foot has an ugly wound... now that his adrenaline is down, it hurts a lot more to walk. The greatest danger there will be infection though. he cares to both of their wounds, and boils the water. Its good to drink it.

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Gabriel]
Gabriel will ensure that the girl drinks some water too. He will moisten her bandage, as he recalls that being the right thing to do with a burn victim.
Gabriel had been planning on leaving the village. But now, with his injured foot, it makes less sense. Gabriel will try to set up a camp inside the fenced enclosure that they hid in earlier. He will try to gather firewood, water to boil, some food. He will then attempt to build a lean-to against the fence, assuming he can find enough wood. [Feel free to roll against Survival to determine if he actually thinks of any of this...] |

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams [Gabriel]
Gabriel starts setting everything up again. He washes the wounds, and has the shelter mostly built when he feels something... perhaps it reminds of the rat... watching him from outside the fence.
