Brigadoon
Once again I can't remember where I saw something. I could have sworn I saw it in a GURPS product; defining a brigadoon as a town or location that fades in and out of existence over a period of time. It's named after the movie, Brigadoon, of course. I tried looking it up in Infinite Worlds, but it's not in there. Where do I remember seeing that definition?

Re: Brigadoon
tvtropes.org mentions in the Vanishing Village entry that Exalted has a spell to create that specific effect. Maybe there?

Re: Brigadoon
I have a distinct memory of seeing this in a GURPS book as well, but a search through my GURPS PDFs doesn't turn it up. I suspect it may have been in a 3rd edition or earlier work.
Alternatively, it did appear in a 4e GURPS book, but it vanished and will not return until the next edition.

Re: Brigadoon
It sounds like what Infinite Worlds defines as a shift realm.

Re: Brigadoon
I see a mention of Brigadoon in the In Nomine title, The Marches. Could that have been it?

Re: Brigadoon
I'd have sworn that it was in 3e Time Travel, but when I went through my copy I couldn't find it. I recall it being somewhere too, though. Maybe the Warehouse 23 supplement? I'll check at some point.

Re: Brigadoon
I actually though that was used too, but the closest thing i could find was a shift realm
geographical features (and some artificial constructs)that move between the worlds. |
