Re: What Was Your Lowest-Point Campaign Ever?
50 point campaign in 3E.
Here's the twist. It was a Supers game. I took Eidetic Memory (It was OP in 3E) and Gadgeteering. Best Hero ever.

Re: What Was Your Lowest-Point Campaign Ever?
The whole campaign was based from the trope "the forces of light are out numbered and surrounded by the dark horde. All hope is lost." Then the forces of light inevitably win.
The pcs where part of the vast poorly managed dark horde. The races in play where a goblin who during the siege of a Dwarven city killed about 30 members of the horde and never even looked for a dwarf. An imp that flung flaming feces and died regularly only to be resummoned by the genre savy alchoholic manic depressive Necromancer in charge of the squad. Muscle was provided by a (lotr movie type) rock troll with an IQ of 7 who had oodles of strength and habit of accidently killing party members. "Friendly trample" and a drunken zombie spell resulted in the brains of the outfit a free willed kobold shaman becoming a skeleton (the party couldn't be bothered foraging at one point so he went from a zombie to a skeleton in one meal)

Re: What Was Your Lowest-Point Campaign Ever?
I have not played or run any campaigns below 100 points+disadvantages as I want mostly the heroes to be at least minimally competent in their main area.
As example my current long running fantasy campaign started at 100 points and is now at about 2500. |

Re: What Was Your Lowest-Point Campaign Ever?
50 point horror campaign in 3e. I tried to kill all the PCs, but I largely failed because they were too busy killing each other. A surprisingly popular game!

Re: What Was Your Lowest-Point Campaign Ever?
My absolute lowest point campaign ever had starting points totals of about -20 and getting worse from there (that is totals including disadvantages etc). Of course this was Goblins which assumed a15/-45 point allocation, before you got hit with (oth) another -70 in campaign disadvantages and anything from the tables. As a campaign it worked about as well as any Goblins campaign that is to say that one player walked out during character creation and the rest ended up abandoning it by the end of the second session.
In terms of more normal campaigns 50/-25 (with quirks rolled into the disadvantages) is probably the lower limit for anything I have actually run successfully. I have used this for survival horror and for short preludes to other campaigns typically world jumping or secret magic types where the PC's will acquire more stuff in play.
