Thanks, not sure why that didn't transfer over when I saved the file in text form... *grumbles*

So this thread doesn't die, I give you:

Harold "The Mouth" Mason, second semester Freshthing, major undecided
Race: Human (allegedly)

Attributes [70]: ST 10 [0]; DX 11 [20]; IQ 12 [40]; HT 11 [10]

Secondary Characteristics [0]: Damage 1d-2/1d; BL 20 lbs.; HP 10 [0]; Will 12 [0]; Per 12 [0]; FP 11 [0]; Basic Speed 5.5 [0]; Basic Move 5 [0].

Advantages [49]: Armor Piercing (2) on Bite [3]*; Breath Holding 1 [2]; Discriminatory Taste [10]; Payload 2 [2]; Sharp Teeth [1]; Stretching 4 (Mouth Only, -80%) [5]; Striking ST 3 (Bite Only, -60%) [6]; Universal Digestion (Matter Eater, +300%) [20].

Disadvantages [-45]: Academic Status -2 (Freshthing) [-10]; Curious (12) [-5]; Lives on Campus [-5]; Sense of Duty (Friends) [-5]; Wealth (Struggling) [-10].

Quirks [-5]: Compulsively eats when nervous [-1]; Likes cooking [-1]; Expression "It's an 'eat or be eaten world out there'" [-1]; Distinctive Feature (very wide mouth...think Mick Jagger or Steve Tyler, only more so) [-1]; Broad-Minded [-1].

Skills [31]: <to be added later>

Harold is a second semester freshthing at I.O.U., and is still trying to figure out where he belongs. Playing to his natural talents, he's wavering between WUSE's Department of Chemistry and Department of Culinary Studies and Weird Science and the College of Metaphysics Department of Alchemy. Although he tries to keep his unusual abilities quiet, certain professors have caught wind of them, so there has been some interest in recruiting him into one of the departments above.

Harold was a minor celebrity among the fraternities for a short while in first semester at a party when he exhibited his talent for determining ingredients by tasting them and for consuming a prodigious amount of alcohol without apparent effect, but since then he has tried to stay low key about what he can do.

Harold also isn't all that interested in talking about his background. He is apparently human, despite having some very strange abilities.

He is 5'9", with short, dark hair, a wide mouth and somewhat rubbery looking face, and is barrel chested. He looks to be about 20, but he's somewhat tight lipped about that, too. Perhaps because he likes to keep his own past to himself, he's very tolerant of other people who might be a little odd, and in general takes a, "don't ask, don't tell" approach to things.

His abilities include strong teeth and jaws, Breath Holding (with his Stretchable mouth he can take in a big gulp of air), Payload (he has good control over his digestive tract, and can safely conceal small items inside), a mouth which can stretch much bigger than it should, and the ability to safely eat pretty much anything. This is also an aid when dealing with the campus dining halls.

*: Armor Divisor value calculated as follows. His Striking ST plus Teeth gives him a 1d-1 cutting attack. Base value of 7 * 0.7 = 4.9. A +50% enhancement on that is 2.45 points, rounded to 3. The combination of Armor Divisor, Sharp and Striking ST costs 10 points, whereas a similar ability bought as an Innate Attack would cost 4.9 (Armor Divisor +2, +50%, No Signature, +20%, Melee Attack, can't parry, -35%) [7]. So, it would be cheaper that way, but I like this build better.

I Also got another character idea, ist a little more powerfull with 200CP.

Tommy Nolan was a surfer and got turned into a vampire, his new vulnerability to sunlight stopped him from participating in surfing events, so he grew obsessed with finding a way to shield himself from the sun while surfing. During his researches he picked up an odd mix of science and occult skills and found out about IOU as a promising place to study and fins a sollution to his problem. He is as of now unsure if science or occultism will be the best way to find what he seeks, but he really stands out as a surfer between the chemistry and alchemy students. As he doesnt look down on his less physically fit fellow students he may be able to recruite som competent help in his cause, the idea that some more malicious vampires could abuse the fruits of his research hasnt even crossed his mind.

While this isn't a character, it could work here in the thread I suppose. I've not worked up the actual stats for it as of yet. But it could be used to get students into a Quantam Leap-esque series of adventures, though with its lack of traveling with the character to go back in time, whoever is foolish enough to use it would need to find an alternate means to return...

The "Parachronic Anachronistic Time Defibrillator" (PATD): The PATD was designed by Helmut Von Krapp, a gradthing in the Department of Redundency Department, in the mid-1970s. Von Krapp was in town when he witnessed a mundane who had had a heart attack being revived by use of a defibrilator. Von Krapp had a sudden brainstorm when he realized that if enough electricity could jolt someone back to life, then they should be able to be jolted back through time, assuming enough power is introduced to the system very suddenly. After months of working out the equations and conning students in the Department of Inapplicable Mathmatics, Von Krapp had a working model, but no test subjects stupid enough to allow it to be tested on them. So, in true mad scientist fashion, Von Krapp tested the PATD on himself.

All that remained of Helmut Von Krapp, was the PATD, his smoking clothes, and a pile of indeterminate substance euphamistically referred to as Von Krapp (it should be noted that Hysterics Majors tend to leave similar piles when things really start to go down). With Von Krapp's disapearance, the PATD was given an "F" grade by his professor (Self-inflicted disintigration doesn't, it seems, count as time travel). The PATD was then put into storage deep in one of the sub-basements of an unknown building on the IOU campus. As for Von Krapp, he was never seen again on the IOU campus, many freshthings whisper that he really is lost in time and is just embarassed due to his low grade on the PATD, especially since he was the top student in the DRD.

The Parachronic Anachronistic Time Defibrillator is as large as a medium-sized suitcase, has two paddles attached to coiled, thick wires that are placed on either side of the subject's chest (much like a cardiac defibrilator) and the power is discharged into the subject's system. However, the PATD works best if the chest is bare, but still works if a thin peice of clothing is worn. On the front of the PATD are several large, red dials, these are used to determine how far back into time the subject will be sent.

How the PATD works: Through a series of large jolts (3 or 4 should be sufficient) to the system, the PATD hurtles its subject back through time, the distance in time the subject is sent through time is determined by setting the large red dials found on the front of the PATD. It should also be noted that the further one goes back in time the more painful the shocks, and often times, the more shocks in the series of shocks.

According to Von Krapp's notes, the amount of power being discharged directly into the subject's body should be enough to induce seizures, so a piece of rubber is attached to the PATD for the subject to clamp his teeth down upon.
