Default [Sorcery] Binding Demons

Thinking about spells to bind demons. I have a few suggestions:

1) Mind Control

2) Affliction with some sort of Compulsive Behavior: Stay inside the Pentagram

3) Binding, Unbreakable and based on Will

Any other suggestions?

It depends on what you mean by "binding." Do you mean forcing them to do something for you, trapping them in a physical location, etc?

Trapping them in a physical location. And I want them to be trapped mentally, if that makes sense. In a way so that brawn doesn't help them.

Then go with affliction with mental stun.

The problem with many of these is that the demon will get one attempt to break free once per second, so the demon won't be in for long. Maybe paralysis or daze - although I would want the enchanter to be able to communicate with them.

You may use Wall with No Signature and Cosmic "Indestructible Wall" +100%. It would be nice if:

- Accesibility: Wall must follow a pentagram painted in the floor
- Terminal Condition: Ends if somebody outside the pentragam breaks/erases the drawing

Of your suggestions, Binding (Based on Will; Unbreakable) looks the best. It has the added advantage of having limits based on "demonic power", which is usually spiffy in fantasy games.

The problem with this is that will is not made to interact with the ST/HP system. Its an apples to oranges comparison.

I'd call it a custom incapacitating effect worth the same as paralysis. Not the same as, but worth the same.

Affliction 1 (Will; Disadvantage, Dread (Leaving Circle), +30%*) [13].

* Leaving a magic circle is treated as Very Common for this purpose – it’s always present when the victim is given this Dread!

Unbreakable removes any HP issues, and Based on Will means the QC is between Binding's Will and the demon's Will. I don't see where there's an interaction between Will and the ST/HP system at all. I'm suggesting throwing out the apples and only comparing oranges.
