Yeah, Sorry... my Foundry expertise is rather limited. So thank you Farmer for the info!

Thanks Farmer. I'll have to play with that a little more before I figure that one out. I ran out of time before my game.

No worries. Sing out if you have any further questions or specific requirements - happy to help.

Thought I would mention that foundry is on sale 25% off until end of November just in case there are folks trying to decide whether to get it.

Forge and the GURPS guide question.

Hi the GURPS importer normally imports from the data/character created and once you use it once it just imports automatically.

However, if you use Forge you can import individually without trouble but the automatic importer doesn't work you have to select the file each time. Is there a way to get it to import from the folder directly.

I have a foundry folder off line and the foundry in forge.

Also somewhere in one of the video guides there was a command to update all characters at the same time but I can't remember where or what it is.

Thanks for your time

When using The Forge, you can't keep a static location for auto import. You can, in the GGA settings, specify that you're using a hosting site and the first location you choose within a session to import from will be remembered for the rest of the session (that you are logged in), but it won't remember it in the next session.

The mass import command is from https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...S8JcjdWc/edit#

and the syntax and description is:

Code:
/reimport

Force all Player owned characters to import. Which will either re-import for the special import location or bring up the Import dialog.

There is a system option to use a different Import dialog that works better when using Forge. The automatic import location only works when you are locally hosting Foundry.

We have just released version 0.12.5.

- Fixed a bug with the ADD applying damage to a resource tracker.
- Remove chat messages for ranged attack modifiers on postures. (Will be replaced by target modifier list window).
- Updated color picker to speed up GGA load time
- Added drag and drop of OtFs from chat & journals
- Changed drag and drop macros to be chat macros (instead of script)
- Allow OtF macros to be merged on drag and drop

Hi Nose, can I get a little more info about the other option?

In FVTT with GGA running:

Click on Settings

Click System Settings

Scroll down to "Use non-locally hosted import dialog"

If you're not running locally, this is useful because it will remember the location of your file import during the session which means if you change your GCA or GCS character and export it over the top of the existing export, if you click Import again on that Actor it will just load it straight up without prompting because it remembers where it is. So you get "within the same session" similar behaviour as you would with a locally run FVTT that always looks in the special folder.

On the flip side, I play in a sci-fi game where we change armour quite a bit, so we have multiple export files that represent those changes and a quick import helps but actually we need to point to different file names so we disable it in that game and just browse to the required files. Probably a very niche, limited use scenario and Chris or Jeff will probably explain there's a much easier/better way to change armour :-)
