Thief abillity during paws button

Hello, guys. I have problem with paws button card. If my class is thief, and i use paw button, Can I steal card from another player? Cause, fight is pausing and then i will to do it. (in my opinion)

Hey ProUkrThief, good question.

I think the phrasing on the card is really important in this scenario. It specifically says 'Play during combat... You may trade your items... Once trading is finished... resume combat.' These make me think that it's impossible to use the Thief ability because it can't be used during combat. The 'Paws Button' overrides the rule for trading during a fight, but it doesn't say 'Stop a combat momentarily. You may trade or use any ability you would not normally be able to use in combat now.'

That's my interpretation anyway. I'm happy to hear other points of view or an official ruling.
