I kinda agree, everything else about the style seems to fit. I'd probably just drop that.

And yeah, that's pretty much why I'd give waterbenders and earthbenders the transmutation only version of create. Because earthbenders always seem able to pull a heavy rock to chuck at someone out of any kind of ground, other than sand.
