I did originally have it as two styles but they had a common skill and common users, so it seemed logical to combine them. The list of options is too long but had some precedent in reality. I've noticed some duplication (failed my Proof-reading roll) and I do need to trim the whole thing down - the fencing styles had at most 11 techniques...

How's this:
• Skills: Brawling; Battlesuit; Shortsword.
• Techniques: Disarming (Brawling); Close Combat (Shortsword); Breakfall*; Ground Fighting (Brawling or Shortsword); Retain Weapon (Shortsword); TA (Shortsword Swing/Arm); TA (Shortsword Swing/Neck); Trip*.
• Perks: Suit Familiarity (Battlesuit); Clinch*; Improvised Weapons (Brawling); Off-hand Weapon Training (Shortsword); Brakefall; Sure-Footed (Uneven).
Optional Traits
• Advantages: Combat Reflexes; Fit or Very Fit; 3D Spatial Sense; Perfect Balance; Games (Shortsword Fighting).
• Disadvantages: Bloodlust; Overconfidence.
• Skills: Free Fall; Fast-Draw (Knife); Knife; Tonfa; Acrobatics; Jumping; Wrestling.
• Techniques: Arm Lock*; Choke Lock*; Low Fighting; Stamp Kick; Sweep*; Elbow Strike; Knee Strike; Back Strike (Shortsword); Counterattack (Shortsword); Feint (Shortsword);
• Perks: Arm Crock; Choke Out; Clothes-Line; Quick-Sheathe (Shortsword); Quick-Swap (Shortsword); Trap.

Technik Nahe Tatlich** [5]
TNT - close combat technique. This is the style advocated for use by Law Enforcement Officers - it isn’t about finesse. Basic training emphasises restraining, disarming and weapon retention. Further training includes Tonfa, shield and pistol. Weapon attacks are aimed to disable not kill.
• Skills: Brawling; Tonfa; Shield; Pistol.
• Techniques: Disarming (Brawling); Arm Lock (Brawling); Choke Hold (Brawling); Weapon Retention (Pistol); Weapon Retention (Tonfa); TA (Pistol/ Upper Legs); TA (Tonfa swing/ lower legs); TA (Tonfa swing/ Arms); Close Combat (Tonfa); Armed Grapple (Tonfa); CQB (Pistol).
• Perks: Clinch; Choke Out; Arm Crock; Shield Wall Training, Grip Mastery (Tonfa).
Optional Traits:
• Skills: Fast Draw (Pistol)†.
• Techniques: Combination: TA (Shield strike/ Torso; TA (Tonfa swing/ lower legs) NB the default for this 2-handed combo is -4.
