Most of the suggestions so far are what I would call your "typical" fantasy settings. For something different I suggest Terry Brooks's Magic Kingdom of Landover novels. I'm currently using the books as a backdrop for a "multiple worlds" type fantasy campaign and it's working out very well. YMMV

I'm currently tinkering with converting Earthdawn to GURPS. It doesn't have quite the same assumptions as DF, but it's pretty close, and I think I've already found a few references in the DF books to some Earthdawn-inspired items.
You could easily run DF with the normal assumptions using the Earthdawn backstory though. No conversion needed. As far as what I'm doing with ED, mostly it's just thumbing through Thaumatology and adding anything that looks cool. Enchantment through deeds, Threshold Magic that's probably gonna get you eaten by a Horror, etc. |

I would be remiss to not recommend the Pathfinder campaign setting put out by Paizo. I definitely recommend the first printing if you can find it. >_>
(He says not knowing if they've done a second printing yet.) |
