The card specifically says that "weapons" and "shields" aren't considered clothing or Armor, so unless your Hand Item is a glove, it's not likely to count. You'll have to use common sense here and consider whether the Item is clothing: Most Armor, Headgear and Footgear would be considered clothing, but since Armor is already explicitly listed, you needn't worry about whether that counts, since we already know; Pantyhose of Giant Strength and Spiky Knees are definitely Items that would be considered clothing. I've never gotten a satisfactory answer on this, believe it or not, so Headgear and Footgear might not count. Andrew might have to poke someone about that.
