I like my old school dungeons with the outside world faceless and anonymous thank you very much.

My tastes are different. Back in the old days, our PCs made their living by raiding dungeons, but they also had a blast raising hell back in town. Variety is the spice of life.

Besides, what's the point in collecting all that treasure, if you never get to show off?
