Seems to me the Dead Broke character would need some more disadvantages piled on top, such as IQ 7 and Gullible.

Non-DF GURPS, Wealth has no effect on the sell price of loot. DF GURPS, Wealth affects the sell price of loot.

[*] Mind you, I can equally well see the people who collect the stuff argue that selling it is the wealthy guy's job. It's what he brings to the partnership, just as the others bring their loot-gathering abilities to it, so he gets an equal share of what the loot the guys bring home fetch. If he don't like that, they'll go find themselves another sales representative. Once again, it's all in the role-playing.

And if all the wealthy character is doing is staying in 'town' and selling the party's loot, that makes sense.
However, if I am going on a dangerous delve, helping out as my abilities allow (maybe not as good as a poor character could, but pulling my weight) ... the extra money I make for selling your stuff at prices higher than you can sell it ... well, I might share some of the profit margin, but still. Only if I like the guy. Otherwise? My money. Don't like it? Sell your own stuff.
