Well, in my DF game, I had a Filthy Rich Artificer that handled the selling of the loot. The terms were as follows:
- He would get a share of the coins
- He would not get a share of the items
- Items would be appraised and valued at 40% of the purchase price (as per average wealth) and all other delvers would receive equal shares. Intra-party selling would always use this value, regardless of Wealth
- He would be the one charged with selling loot in town. He would pocket 50% of the difference between what each delver would get from selling the loot, and what he could get (He could get 100%, so if he sold an item in behalf of an average adventurer, he would pocket 30% of the item's value while paying the adventurer 70%. If he sold an item in behalf of a dead broke adventurer, that adventurer would get 50%, and the Filthy Rich Artificer would get 50%
After some though, except for point 2, these are going to be the wealth rules in effect in my games, by GM fiat.
