IMO in most times you'll get something like a "better" reality, if done right...

usually this effect is primarily limited to the early stage of a recording... also it's not that much a problem, if it is clear that only the good scenes stay in... =)

I think it would be great to see the SJGames staff play a game. I know they're geographically scattered, but for a great promotional thing like this, maybe travel expenses would be worth it. May as well showcase the central talent after all...

My dad's won awards for editing news video, I know what good editing can do, but I'd still be worried that if the camera work is too poor no amount of editing will save it.

I should have added the distraction of having someone taping it as well as the need for (probably) several cameras to do it right.
