Default Which Datafiles to load for Dungeon Fantasy

Hi all

Could you please advise on which Datafiles I need to load to create Dungeon Fantasy Characters.

I am especially unsure what happens when I load the GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Remove Unnecessary Traits.GDF. Will I have to make a copy of my GURPS Basic Set 4th Ed.--Characters.GDF first so it does not delete stuff from that file because I play other games too which need a full Basic Set file?

Thanks!

Onkl

You can load any or all of the Dungeon Fantasy data files; only DF1 is absolutely required. Each of the book files simply adds the options from that book.

Remove Unnecessary Traits only removes the traits from the listing of available traits within the program; It does not remove them from the Basic Set data file itself. It follows the guidelines laid out in Dungeon Fantasy for what traits should be available, removing things like Guns and Driving from the list of skills (as well as some inappropriate advantages and disadvantages). If you create another data set without that file the traits will be available again.

They are included in the latest Data Update. See the GCA FAQ #2 and FAQ #8 for more details.

Found it - I hadn't noticed there was a worldbook folder.

Yeah and for some reason GCA leaves old versions of these files lying around in the original location, so you might want to delete them.
