Annihilation.

I am level 9 and open the door. I pick up a monster, doens't matter which one. I could win the fight to go to LV 10 and win the game. Another player plays Annihilation on that monster to take it out of the game.
What happens now?
Can I open another door, since my room just vanished?
Do I just get to loot the room and draw another door card face down?
Could I still look for trouble?
