Right, thanks. That's what I thought - you were quoting Kromm in reference to parrying with the blade-hand. Kromm's answer would be the one I would have expected if I had asked the question from that thread. However, mine was a different question in relation to Molokh's comment on blade-hand weapons being able to swing.

Yeah, I was responding to the topic in general and not you in particular. Sorry for the confusion.

We're getting into that yummy greay area here. System "granularity" can only account for so much.
Tonfa I get - defiantely armed. With the things crammed into Bladed Hand ... well some of those have long blades that would seem similar to knives, while others seem more like extended brass knuckles. For bladed hands I would say: Some count as armed, some not. Cestus, as wikipedia says, seem like the "knuckle bars" of the time. Not armed, more like armoured, like punching with Gauntlets. From what I read on Myrmex, some of those come close to being "bladed hands" also. So it's a blurry line there. Now if I was eg. a GM in an online PbP game somewhere, I'd probably rule Tonfa and Bladed hands as armed, cestus and myrmex not.
