So, basically, roll on the table until you hit a spell which the reserve can meaningfully power.

I'm not certain that's physically possible.

Nor was I, but the proof is in the PDF!
I rolled an object, so I thought I'd share it. "Shula" is a Very Fine Shortbow with geometric gold inlay and a desert village painted on every square inch of it. It is enchanted with Flaming Weapon and Puissance +2 and smells faintly of smoke. It is famous as the preferred weapon of the holy warrior/bandit (depending on who you ask) Umar Al'Arem, who claimed that the "holy spirits of cleansing fire" had given it to him. It was last seen being carried by Umar when he walked into a pillar of fire, claiming he had been chosen to join his spirits. It costs $59,105. |

But this release deserves a cheerful celebration in DF 9: Taverns!

DF9 is currently slated to be Summoners. Taverns will likely be #10.

Just bought is and I can say I like this product the best so far. It is more serious and also goes into artistic descriptions of the items. Hopefully the future DF monster book will have interesting descriptions of the monsters the same way that Treasure Tables has of treasures. I will say that I like the historical artwork too because it gives a better feel than the cartoony art of the other DF books. This type of book is what I believe DF should be about which is about searching through dungeons to find fabulous treasures that are interesting in and of themselves beyond mere combat power. Really good job!

A definite thumbs up to Matt (TBC). I should also note the considerable list of mundane gear, making this even more akin to early versions of D&D, where every item of clothing was listed on your sheet.

It'll be interesting to see whether DF10 uses a historical or D&D-landish take on taverns, i.e. "it's like a McDonals where you go to get a meal of calories and (faintly alcoholic) fluids" or "it's a place where you go to become noticably drunk".
