Yes, Virginia, there is a Dungeon Fantasy 8: Treasure Tables. Secular well wishes for your gift-giving holiday season of ambiguously spiritual nature!
(Or "Merry Xmas," if you wanna be boring about it)

Hmmm...not sure it's long enough.

I've only given it a cursory read, but this is great!
Definitively on par with the Hârnmaster random treasure generation, only this is appropriate for DF (unlike the rules on Hârnmaster). I'm loving it. BTW, this really asks for a random treasure generation app. I assume that it would be against SJG's wishes to release such an app though, unless it was SJG who released it... |

As it happens, I've been noodling with something which randomly generates items (for my own amusement; it's not in a form which could lead directly to a salable product, nor will it ever be otherwise distributed in any way, shape, or form). It's certainly an intriguing possibility, but it requires adding new information. Frex, someone building an item may pick from hard or soft embellishment tables or both depending on whether the item is hard or soft or partakes of both. In the book, that's a GM's judgment call. In an app, items would have to be marked as to which embellishments they could support. There are a few other examples of that kind of thing I've run into. It's not impossible, but there need to be new parts not explicitly specified in the text.

Sweet! Perfect timing...the kids are home from school for the holidays, just in time to startup a DF campaign!
