Default simulatoralive's SVG mapping tool

In order to not derail the excellent GURPS Community Campaign & Adventure Repository thread I thought I would bring this over to a new thread...

simulatoralive, could you post a screenshot of a map made with this tool? I'm considering using it but I'd rather not install a new app without knowing how the finished product can look.

To keep continuity from the discussion in the original thread, I am copying the two other posts from there into this thread here:

Edit: Well, it's not raining here, but I just finished adding a hex grid to the two files. The hex grid layer is hidden by default, because it's easier to draw maps with nice, straight grid lines, but hexes are handy for the final product.

These are all from my adventure Clearing the Gnomish Mines:

The Upper Mine
The Lower Mine
The Coleopteran Caves

Basically, these were my test run. I haven't done much more with my dungeon template, but now that I've dusted it off, I'm probably going to use a map in the next adventure I write.

Unfortunately, I lost the SVG versions of these files when my old computer died on me. In the future, I'm going to include links to the the SVG files in any adventure that uses maps.

That's pretty spiff, thanks. Any chance you could add the hex layer to one of those so we can see how that works with an existing map? :)

(I figure such would be easy, if I am wrong, no worries)

Edit: On re-read I see that it won't be too easy as you lost the original files the images are based on, no worries...

The hex grid looks just about the same as the graph lines, only they're all the same shade (the lighter of the two shades for the graph lines).

It's that semi-blue-purple color I used.
