Bat Bat and Demon Sword Questions

1. Do Bat Bat and Demon Sword get their respective "top of the card" bonuses versus any kind of monster like a normal item?

2. Do these cards receive their top of card bonus and their descriptor bonus when facing the specific enemy? For instance versing 2 demons does the demon sword give +6 for the two demons and +3 at the top of the card?

3. Do BB and DS get their respective powers versus a single enemy of the favored type? For instance does DS give +3 vs. a single demon? Does BB's insta-kill kill a single bat that attacks without a second bat?

These are the most confusing cards I've encountered in Bites thus far.

Thanks for any clarification you can give, plus any pointers on other tough calls in Bites would be helpful.

I dont really see how your confused on bat bat. It states that you instantly kill a bat. Its just as it says, Its dead. If you face 2 monsters, and atleast 1 is a bat, you KILL the bat, and for the battle with the second monster you do not get the +2 bonus ontop of bat bat. You only do not get the +2 bonus when you use bat bats ability to instantly kill a bat.

For demon sword its another one that i dont see how your confused to that extent. If your fighting multiple demon, you get both the effect bonus and the top of the card bonus. Also the DS states for 2 or more demons. You do not get a bonus for fighting a single demon.

Bat Bat gives a +2 bonus unless you're facing a Bat. As it says on the card, if you're facing at least one Bat, it immediately kills one Bat and then no longer provides a bonus for that combat.

Demon Sword always gives a +3 bonus, but, as it says on the card, it gives an extra +3 if you are facing Multiple Demons.

In no way do these cards ever state that they only give bonuses against a "favored" Monster.
