Since I started this thread by talking about a sickly skinny race, I figured that I should see what I could come up with for such a concept.
Maciati Legend has it that the Maciati were once very similar to humans. As the legends go, long ago, Maciati were cursed with their current sickly condition. Some legends say they angered a god or gods; some legends say their condition comes from a deal with a devil; still others say that the Maciats inflicted the condition upon themselves by delving into arcane secrets which they didn't fully understand. The race as a whole possesses abilities and drawbacks which seem to lend themselves well to any of the myths and legends about the race. Whatever the case, their frailties are obvious to anyone viewing them. Maciati are roughly the same height as and look similar to humans; however, they weigh considerably less. Maciati height ranges between 5'4" - 6' tall, and Maciat weight ranges between 80 - 100 lbs. Females tend to be slightly taller and lighter than their male counterparts. Maciati have dull colored eyes which are typically gray, offwhite, or a dull blue-gray. Their skin tends to be pale, and Maciat hair has the normal human range of colors with darker colors being common, light colors being uncommon, and redheads being very rare. Maciat [+40] Attributes: ST 10 [+0]; DX 11 [+20]; IQ 10 [+0]; HT 8 [-20] Secondary Characteristics: Dmg 1d-2/1d; BL 20 lbs; HP 10 [0]; Will 10 [0]; Per 10 [0]; FP 8 [0]; Basic Speed 4.75 [0]; Basic Move 4 [0]. Advantages: Discriminatory Taste [+10]; Enhanced Time Sense [+45]; Magery 0 [+10]; Psi Static [+30]; Reduced Consumption 2 [+4]. Disadvantages: Draining (common; food) [-5]; Fragile (combustible) [-5]; Self Destruct [-10]; Skinny [-5]; Slow Healing 1 [-5]; Short Lifespan 1 [-10]; Slow Eater [-10]; Susceptible 1 (very common; disease) [-4]; Unusual Biochemistry [-5]. Taboo Trait: Maciati may not have a ST score above 14. Special: A Maciat character may still take the skinny disadvantage to represent a Maciat who is skinny and sickly even by the standards of the Maciati. In such a case a character would have 2/3 the normal weight of a normal Maciat. Such a character would recieve double the normal penalties associated with the skinny disadvantage and not be able to have HT or ST above 12. Last edited by Johnny Angel; 06-30-2009 at 08:45 PM. |
