Play by Mail on a website?

I've seen the excel macro sheets, but I wonder if anyone has every tried to make a turn entry program on the web? Something of an accelerated Play by email type engine?

Thanks for bringing me back ladies and gents. Found that St. Paul site yesterday from here. *sigh* autoduel.org. I loved that old Apple //e game. We need a multiplayer port of that game to Flash. =)
