Default Re: Police Station layout, and typical police procedure

It is all up to how you want to play it but you have several options:

1) If you ended the last session with the arrest a random car crash into the vehicle transporting plus some escape artist rolls could get them free. This would leave them without the now confiscated weapons, but still wanted by police.

2) PCs get to the police station, stripped of all items and put into separate cells. Separate interrogations will likely take place and the charges brought up as outlined above. This is close to a party wipe (unless you want the campaign to move into prison). Any witnesses coming forward may help a little but is likely to be push off as drugs unless they find the "goo" of the beasts at the school.

3) Deus ex machina. If the PCs are working for some group they come to the rescue. If they are not introduce one (could be as simple as a "Watcher" group that just cleans up after this sort of thing in order to protect the secret).

I'm guessing you already know where you want it to go since you didn't ask what to do. The thing to remember are that the cops will keep them separate as much as possible.

If it was me I'd go with a clean up group. If all the monsters and other oddities have been around for more then a couple of years, someone has to be doing clean up. With high end camera phones taking photo-quality pictures someone would be posting evidence online if there wasn't someone cleaning things up. If the monsters have been here for decades, or even centuries, they would be very adapt at covering thing up. I would consider the Vatican or Masons as groups with the resources to be pulling this off over the centuries (if you prefer government backing go with a group started in WWII).

I'd like to hear how it goes so please let us know.
