Feh. We messed up there. "Mug the Shopkeeper" and "Step And A Half" were printed WITH the Munchkin Dice cards. But they should not have had the MD icon on them - indeed, we should have created a special Promo icon.

Copying this info to the Department of Errrrrata.

So, besides the two aforementioned cards, are there any other promo cards in existence that I need to hunt down before my collection is complete?

There are only 3 promo cards and all are American.
Heart of the Anomaly has not been mentioned here.

Furthermore, there are new, unique Munchkin cards in the Dutch (4+4), German (5+8) and Italian (2) expansions.
And maybe more in the products they are currently working on.

So, may I ask, what are these unique cards, and what do they do? Is there a list somewhere I could look at? Thanks a lot.

Why, so you could make copies of the cards and use them instead of wandering from game shop to game shop, begging for munchkinly salvation at the hands of the guy behind the cash register?

Dutch - Munchkin 2:
+ De Zwakken Geslacht
extra level for next monster with level < your own
+ Oor Des Meesters
force someone to let you help in their combat for al treasures
+ Vervloeking! Polder Model
play with cards open until you kill a monster
+ De Leeuw
monster with -5 vs Hollanders and Flemmings.
I guess this one 'rule' might be obscure.

German - Munchmin 2:
+ Das Schwache Geslacht
+ Caipiranha
+ Käpt'n Blubber
+ Werehamster 40 Kilos
+ Das Blaue Auge
+ Fluch! Der Eine Ring
Note that there are 6 titles here, not 5, but personaly I think that Das Schwache Geslacht is not a new card, as it is a translation of the Dutch card.

Italian - Munchkin 2/3
+ Orca Zozza
+ Orco Boia

Dutch and German Munchkin 3 are not released yet, so apart from the picture John Kovalic posted in his journal (
http://www.livejournal.com/users/mus...ohn/58703.html ) I'm not at liberty to even tell you the titles.

I will as soon as they are published.

Also go here for a color version of a German unique for M3:
http://www.macguff.fr/goomi/unspeakable/vault97.html

Polder Model can be seen here:
http://pics.livejournal.com/jhghendr...c/00049rap/g21

And part of Oor Des Meesters I'm been using as my user icon :http://www.livejournal.com/community...ame/27269.html

You have no idea how hard it is to actually get those editons.

I took me many a month to track the Spanish and French versions down. Italian and German version are easier as I have a more regular contact with them. Esp the Germans.

So where do I get this Heart of the Anomaly card??

It's incredible to me that there is basically no advance notice or information on these things. Are they really intended to be this mysterious and hard to get?

Well, the Heart of the Anomaly card was given out at Linucon in 2004, and, I might be wrong in this case, printed by them with permission from SJG. It was mentioned many moons ago on the Daily Illuminator, I'm sure. At any rate, Wil Wheaton was a guest at this convention and the card has "special" abilities if signed by him. I say "special" since, as the card is written, it is weaker if signed, though I believe the intent was to increase the bonus as opposed to replace it.

There was a mention, again on the Daily Illuminator, which referred to Step and a Half while the majority of the SJG crew was at the GAMA Trade Show, where they also mentioned the black dice as promos. I do think there was supposed to be an Illuminator with scans of both Step and a Half and Mug the Shopkeeper, but when that should happen, I haven't a clue.

So, in answer to your question: Get on the Daily Illuminator if you aren't already, and maybe you'd know what's really going on in the world. . . ;-)
