Dungeon Fantasy: Faery Councils

The faery are divided into two courts, the Seelie and the Unseelie, with many who are undecided. Of the courts there are yet further divisions. These are not strongly divided, they just organize the faeries into different groups. There are many more than these but these are some of note.

Seelie Court:

Nature Council: These faeries are involved with nature and natural beauty. The faeries include fauns, nymphs, dryads, elves, sprites, pixies, and lutins.

Craftsmen Council: These faeries are involved in building and repairing equipment, machines or personal items. These faeries include leprechauns, dwarves, and gnomes

Harvest Council: These faeries are involved with feeding, practical items and comfort. These faeries include brownies, halflings, and hearth faeries

Unseelie Court:

Brute Council: These faeries are involved in all sorts of violence and brutality. These faeries include orcs, goblins, hobgoblins, trolls, ogres, evil giants, bugbears and gnolls.

Death Council: These faeries are involved in death and dying. They often live in cemetaries along with true undead. These faeries include grims, ghouls, ghasts, sluaghs, banshees and other death faeries.

Nightmare Council: These faeries are involved in creating horror and terror in the world. They probably the most wicked. These faeries include shadow elves, dark dwarves, lean-sidhe, banshees, night hags, black annises, red caps, and fomor. Arachnia is said to be a member as her spider form is truly horrific.

There is overlap among the groups and faeries may join any council they like.
