Default Deus Ex Machinegun

Another question:
The "Deus Ex Machinegun" card of Munchkin 3 says that a godlike person (dunno exactly) appears, kills all monsters and takes the treasures and levels you would have gained.
What if I am in a combat with a monster and another wandering monster, have already killed one monster my making it "dead" (but getting its treasures) and THEN the Deus Ex Machinegun is being played?
Of course I don't get any levels, because I didn't fight a single monster. But what about the treausures of the monster I made dead by myself? Can it be killed again by the machinegun?
THX alot!

Tricky situation. But if it really says "takes the treasures and levels you would have gained" I'd say you can keep the treasures from the monster you turned "dead" because those are not treasures you "would have" but already "have" gained.

Well, the rules say you get Treasure (and maybe Levels) after combat is resolved, and that you get nothing if you can't defeat the rest of the Monsters. In the case of Deus Ex Machinegun, the card says you get nothing, so you get nothing because that is the resolution to combat, no matter what you may have done to other Monsters before the card was played.

The "End of a Battle Card" deluxe. It's done, over, finished and the Gods get the goodies, you get an empty bucket, with a hole in it. Really, it's that simple, don't try to squirm around and figure a way to get the treasure... too much.

Replying here instead of making new thread.

Can a Wandering Monster be played after Deus Ex MG is used?? Or would that monster be wiped out too?

Deus Ex Machinegun really just brings a huge end to the combat. . .

So no new monsters should be played due to them being wiped out?

Well, as MunchkinMan says, it's the end of the combat and if there is no combat there can't be anymore monsters.
