The drone hovers along without incident. The area looks pretty empty right now.
Going up the stairs, Voice can see that there’s two stories of apartments (same layout and size as his own floor) above the current one. Going higher, the stairs stop at a locked metal gate blocking the way up.
Going down the stairs, there’s only one more floor of apartments below. Below that there’s a “basement” floor dedicated to various facilities - including a laundromat, vending machines, a public bathhouse, a parking lot, and three tunnels out and away from the area.

Wait, a parking lot? I thought there weren't any roads in the arcology? are the tunnels for vehicles or pedestrians? How many cars and other vehicles are in the parking lot? Do I have any idea how long the tunnels are or where they go to? does the "basement" have a bigger footprint than apartments?

How tall is the arcology? Are we near the base? Any public transport in the area?

Do any other players have questions I should be asking?

What condition are the facilities in?

Look for any doors off the parking area; if there's a utility room or space for maintenance workers, it's probably unused and likely to stay unbothered

Is my motorcycle in the apartment with us?

Any vent shafts we could fly a drone through?

The parking lot is meant to handle small vehicles that get around via the roads in the tunnels. They’re rare, mostly for vans and pickup trucks ferrying loads of supplies between areas. Most residents do not use them.
Currently, there’s no vehicles in the lot.
The tunnels are 8 yards wide. They go to other areas of the arcology. Yes, the basement is a lot of areas. Very big.

The arcology is about 50 floors high at its tallest point. Below ground level is harder to get measures of it.
You’re on the ground floor. But fairly far away (3 or 4 areas) from the exits to the outside. Public transport is via a monorail, or an elevator to a blue collar work area.

Bad. Dirty. Perhaps broken.

Yeah, there’s a few doors to side rooms. Could be a problem getting in, though.

The motorcycle is kept in a lockup in the parking lot. You have the key. You could fit it in a workman’s elevator. And drive it down the roads, of course.

Vent shafts? Big enough for drones, maybe, if the wiring and actual stuff that’s in vents don’t get in the way. Where do you plan to fly the drone to?

Does the basement have other stair cases leading up to other "Stacks"? Or perhaps elevators?

How would I get to the nearest monorail?

How far are these tunnels going to run for?

Is the metal grate blocking access further up likely to lead to just one level, or a whole bunch?

Sending the drone to spy around in the vent shafts unseen seems cool, might learn stuff people didn't want us to

(OC: You will need to roll to start the flight without incident.)

The basement has stairs down and an elevator to other areas. Knowing where they lead will require checking the map or rolling Area Knowledge (I will roll in secret for you, just tell me the skill level you have).

The nearest monorail station is 10 minutes walk through the arcology’s pathways. Here’s hoping it is still in operation.

The tunnels could be kilometres long, if they stretch all the way to the outside of the arcology island’s edge.

Behind the metal grate is almost certainly a whole bunch of important areas - why else would there be such security?

Sending the drone up the vents sounds like a great way to loose an expensive piece of equipment. I'll save that for when I'm rich or desperate.

We have a map?

Voice doesn't have area knowledge (or architecture). Maybe one of his comrades could help. He'll ask the room "Does anyone have a good idea of the general layout of this area?"

And I can get to it via the vehicle tunnels, right?

Very true... but how far is it to the next parking zone? My goal here is to find another block of apartments like this one.

Or people who think they're important and aren't, or people who are merely wealthy?

But we don't know I don't have any idea until I can find an ally with area knowledge (or maybe architechture)

For now I'll check tunnel and see if there are any parking lots or stairwells or elevators 100 yards or so down each of them. Then I'll fly the drone back.
