Staffs, polearms, endcaps and butt spikes

I think it's below the resolution whether the staff is all made of some dense hardwood or if it's made of lighter hardwood and has metal endcaps. If it's made as a weapon and bought at full price, it has the listed stats. Expect improvised staves to have the damage penalty.

That works for me. A quarterstaff is a staff that works decently as a weapon. Whether that's because it has metal endcaps or because it's really well-chosen wood is below the resolution of the system; either can explain why it costs more than a random big stick, if anyone really, seriously cares.
